This "project" was different in the sense as this was a design contest held by Penguin Books that I entered, and won. It was for limited edition design set for a sci-fi novel they published titled "Stranger In A Strange Land". I think the attention to detail and creative representation of the book's complex themes are what earned me a well-deserved victory in the design contest, enhancing the overall reading experience for Penguin Books' audience.

Through the power of Photoshop and Illustrator, I captured the essence of the novel's themes of water, sci-fi, religion, sexuality, and humanity. The book sleeve features a captivating aqua-themed depiction of a mysterious religious symbol started by the book's protagonist, surrounded by the planets of Earth and Mars, as well as a silhouette of the protagonist. The sleeve in itself invites readers to embark on a journey into the unknown. My cup design cleverly combined water with outer space, representing the novel's encouraging thoughtful contemplation. The stickers and bookmarks complement the overall design, offering glimpses of the symbolic imagery related to the book.

Overall, I really loved this design, because this was something I made in an unpredictable contest held by a major book publisher early in my design career, and it resulted in a competition victory.
